Larkin Management is a property management company built upon the highest standards of quality and professionalism in the industry. Larkin Management is a company designed first and foremost upon ethics and moral standard. Larkin Management strives to develop and deliver the most comprehensive property management practices in the property management industry, and provide Larkin Homeowners and Guests with the highest level of service and experience possible by the most discriminating of homeowners and guests.

Larkin Management was founded by and is owned and managed by Michael Larkin Robb.

I have worked in the service and hospitality industry for my entire working life from being a “chore boy” on a private family island on Lake Joseph, in Muskoka, Ontario to being a founder and partner in a property management company in Summit County Colorado. A passion for living life to its fullest has taken me down many roads in many different fields. After more years than are needed in academia I went west from Northern New York. I pursued a career in the fly fishing industry that took me from the Adirondack Mountains of New York to Montana, Colorado, Alaska, and Patagonia. I have guided industry leaders, the highest ranking politicians in the United States, Entrepreneurs, and everything in between. As head guide at a fly-in/fly-out lodge in Bristol Bay, Alaska I learned invaluable life lessons in the wilderness and the world of business.

After growing tired of living out of two duffle bags and moving across hemispheres every 6 months I moved to Summit County Colorado. I graduated from Jones Real Estate College in Denver, CO and jumped into the real estate market in Breckenridge, CO as a broker associate. It did not take me long to see that there was a need for a higher tier of property management service. Over breakfast my former business partner and I decided to start a property management company. I obtained a plethora of knowledge the next four years and eventually came to the conclusion that it was time to start my own company, on my own, with my own ethical standards, and that company is Larkin Management.

My great-great grandfather John D. Larkin took a similar path in his youth and founded The Larkin Company, of Buffalo, NY. Through his own vision, determination, hard work, and continued faith in his ethics and labor he went from slinging soap boxes from a horse drawn wagon to owning and managing the largest soap manufacturing company in the world for over fifty years. The Larkin Company was a factory to family mail order company that was the first company to ever offer “premiums” amongst many other innovations in marketing and sales. His company founded many other companies and changed the way business was done at the time. Today his business models are still practiced by some of the world’s leading companies and businesses. When I decided to leave the company I founded, and go out on my own, starting my own business, I needed a name. I could not think of one that pertains to me and my own ethics and morals of standard better than Larkin.
